At the Indian Red Cross Society, Rajkot, we encourage college students to become members of the Youth Red Cross.

Junior Red Cross

At the Indian Red Cross Society, Rajkot, we also encourage students from standards 6 to 12 to join the Junior Red Cross.

Through YRC and JRC programs, students receive practical training in first aid, disaster management, cleanliness drives, basic health awareness, environmental conservation, and teacher training. College-level initiatives also include blood donation camps.

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Junior Red Cross (JRC) are vibrant initiatives under the Indian Red Cross Society that aim to inspire and empower young minds through service, education, and community involvement. These programs nurture compassion, leadership, and a sense of responsibility among students by engaging them in meaningful activities that benefit both individuals and society.

Junior Red Cross – For School Students (Classes 6 to 12)

Through the JRC, young students are introduced to the core values of the Red Cross and are trained to respond to real-life challenges with confidence and care.

✔ Activities include:

  • Learning the basics of first aid

  • Participating in disaster preparedness and awareness sessions

  • Leading cleanliness and hygiene campaigns in schools and communities

  • Promoting personal and public health awareness

  • Attending environmental protection workshops

  • Receiving guidance from specially trained teachers

  • Experiencing hands-on learning through live demonstrations

Youth Red Cross – For College Students

The YRC empowers college students to become active contributors to society, promoting volunteerism and social change.
